Social Policy Group works pro bono with Health Research Forum across society to increase awareness of the global epidemic of vitamin D deficiency. Present in every cell in our bodies, lifestyle changes during recent decades have fuelled this crisis. Vitamin D deficiency can have profound negative health consequences, particularly for pregnant and lactating women and their children, black and ethnic minority communities, and the elderly.
